The newest generation of our Apple Box pays homage to the elegance of wear and tear. Its linear profile was originally inspired by the wooden crates typically used on film sets to prop up dolly tracks or as impromptu seating or stepladders. For years, Ashley has admired their versatility and used them in her own home. Now the humble object takes on an elevated, more sculptural expression, with a satin brass surface texture that has been organically pummelled to form shallow ridges and indentations. These purposeful irregularities introduce a new type of materiality to a room. Each box is handcrafted, allowing for subtle variations in texture and colouration. A renaissance wax finish adds a protective layer to prevent tarnishing. Made to order in natural or with a black patina.
