Gregoire De Lafforest Signature Kitchen

Millwork

Bespoke Obumex Kitchens are inspired by pure art of living, suffused with passion and craftsmanship, perfectly matching your vision of life. Through a deep exploration and comprehensive design process, each project is unique and fully made-to-measure, with no detail left untouched.
With his signature creation for Obumex, Grégoire de Lafforest developed a radically contemporary take on both the function and the design of the kitchen that nowadays – more than ever before - has become a real living space. While the functional technical elements (devices, etc.) disappear out of sight in his design, de Lafforest pays ample attention to the objects which collect themselves in a kitchen, creating a library-style concept that showcases decorative objects, cookbooks, and personal trinkets.

Design Story

Grégoire de Lafforest

Grégoire de Lafforest

Both interior designer and designer (he graduated from ESAG Penninghen school), Grégoire de Lafforest first collaborated with french firms such as Bruno Moinard, Noé Duchaufour Lawrence or Gilles & Boissier. By the time, he had the opportunity to work on big projects such as Hermès head office, Cartier shops or the Baccarat hotel in NYC. In parallel to this, he slowly developed his own projects, might it be as an interior designer or a designer. He currently works for Hermès on the furniture collection.

For Collection Particulière, he designed the Balka console, Brick sides tables, Comma mouse pad and Shelter tray.

AVENUE ROAD carries a curated assortment of Grégoire de Lafforest pieces.
