French designer Christophe Delcourt has created a chic stool family that includes the Fou and the Mat, and displays his profound reverence for his materials and the traditions of French craftsmanship. Rendered in varnished walnut with a leather-covered seat, these stools are crafted in the tradition turned wood, a delicate process that involves hollowing our and redrawing the material. The ROI is evocative of a chess piece or a pommel horse, and makes a comfortable and refined addition to any room.
