Triple Angle

The TRIPLE ANGLE pendent elevates a simple stem and globe construction with its suspended rods of satin or nickel-plated brass and mouth-blown opaline spheres. Award-winning designer Michael Anastassiades applies a unique aesthetic of vibrant minimalism to lighting, which is evident here through the elegant balance of the eponymous fishhook angle. The shades diffuse the interior light softly, making this a comforting and stylish piece for any room.

Design Story

Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades founded his London design studio in 1994. Schooled in industrial design and engineering at London's Royal College of Art and Imperial College – the Cypriot-born designer's lighting, mirrors, and tabletop objects reside between industrial design, sculpture and decorative art. Deceptively simple, yet meticulously detailed, they betray his training as a civil engineer and industrial designer.

Anastassiades is particularly renowned for his lighting products, which comprise 80% of his studio's commissions. Shiny surfaces combined with simple geometric shapes like tubes, oblongs and spheres, articulate architectural spaces. He often chooses reflective materials – such as mirrored glass and polished bronze – that appear to dematerialise his objects, to float independently, interacting with the space surrounding them.

AVENUE ROAD carries a curated assortment of Michael Anastassiades pieces.
