Born in Zurich in 1954, Silvestrin studied design in Milan, and continued his studies at the Architectural Association in London. He has worked with John Pawson (1986-1988), and then with his own practice, Claudio Silvestrin Architects (1989), which opened in 2006. His projects embrace a vast range of architecture and design, characterized by austerity, elegance and strict attention to detail. The result is a variety of different designs including objects for everyday use, museum buildings, interior designs, private residences and hotels.
