Based between Singapore and Porto, Gabriel Tan’s design practice works at cultural intersections, exploring new ways to reinterpret tradition, craft, and technology. In 2016, Tan founded Gabriel Tan Studio, where many of his projects redefine established design archetypes through sustainable efforts and the subtle synthesis of Asian and European cultural influences. Tan is also a co-founder of Origin Made, a craft-driven design brand based in Porto that has been preserving handmade traditions since 2019.
