Hella Jongerius
Hella Jongerius, born in 1963 in de Meern, Netherlands, is a prominent Dutch designer regarded as one of the most individual and influential product designers of the 21st century. Renowned for her unique approach that blends industry and craft, high and low tech, tradition and contemporary elements, Jongerius studied Industrial Design at the Eindhoven Design Academy, graduating in 1993. She explores new visions in home furnishings, designing a diverse range of products, including furniture, lighting, textiles, and glassware, with a particular focus on ceramics. Collaborating with prestigious manufacturers like Vitra, Nymphenburg, and Swarovski, her designs are featured in esteemed collections worldwide, including MoMA, the Stedelijk Museum, and the Design Museum in London.
