Nanda Vigo

Nanda Vigo was a female force of otherworldly design. Born in Milan, she opened her own atelier in the same city in 1959, and started to exhibit in many galleries and museums in Europe and in Italy. Vigo applied her experience obtained as an architect and designer, to formulate a theory for space and time completely original and autonomous in art. Since then, her presence has been constant in the midst of the most advanced aesthetical research, with the precise intent of probing, and deepening the possibilities of sensorial stimuli obtained by the use of materials which are typical of industry, such as glass, mirrors, neon light, organized in a uniting and convolving spatiality. She has collaborated with Giò Ponti, Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni. Nanda Virgo passed away in May, 2020.
